Kathmandu gets snow
Not wanting to be out done by the recent snowy conditions that prevailed over much of the UK; Kathmandu was reported to have had its first snow fall in 63 years on 14th February.
Although it snowed for a few minutes, the weather caused quite a bit of excitement among the Capitals residents.
The brief snowfall, which, according to weathermen was caused by a "westerly disturbance", Wass the first to come down on Kathmandu since January 1944.
Although snow disrupted flights in some outlying areas of Nepal, Kathmandu airport continued its operations as normal.
